Reccommend me some fantasy-action-adventure books?

As the title says, I would like you to reccommend me some fantasy-action-adventure books that are in a series. I used to be a kid that never liked reading and only had to because I was forced to. Since I’ve read the Eragon series(still waiting for book 4), I’ve been wanting to read more books in my free time.

I do not like books that aren’t very lengthy. I rather like to divulge into the stories like in the books with series.

Someone suggested that I read the Percy Jackson series and I would have read that, but unfortuneately, book 1 of the series is rented out at the library and I wouldn’t want to start reading the series with book 2. = And also, I have the harry potter series in mind, but I wouldn’t like to get into that unless I have no other options. Something about me and harry potter don’t mix.

Please suggest some good books to read that are not too convoluted.(since I read the eragon series, you can guess what type of books I like)

Thanks in advance

I love the Eragon series and I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 4th book. I havent really found any books that are close to Eragon but you might enjoy some of these.

Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling (I know you listed it up there but just in case you cant find another book)
The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare
The Chronicles of Narnia series by C. S. Lewis
Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George
Peeps by Scott Westerfeld
Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J. R. Ward (I only recommend this book if you are over the age of 16 and mature)
Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins

Action-adventure books – young, hip and loads of fun!
