Frugal Summer FUN for Kids?
Hello, all, I am a mom of four busy boys; I consider myself particially frugal. I would like to know what you mom/dads do when spending excess money is not an option but you want happy kids. My main goal is keeping their summer fun and educational. We will be as usual joining the Library reading program, museum, zoo, & going to Great Adventure (free tickets for kids for reading during school year), participating in all the various Boy Scout Activities, Bike trailing, Roller Blading, and I recently bought a pool $100 for a whole kit, because the summer pool is $300 that isn’t an option plus we have to drive too it, that doesn’t work, We will continue to do summer studies for 2 hours four days a week, board games and when we are done, they are free to play their DS and PS2. What else can I do to make my kids have fun on limited funds?
It sounds like you are doing a lot already. You are spending a lot of time with them, and that is #1. Kids can quite often just make their own fun. Let them play in the back yard, or at the local park. Have fun.
