Problem with co-worker/s! need ease for tentions?

I have a problem dealing with harsh jokes from my co-workers. Like all US-university educated Libyan employees, I have to deal with daily harassment about how US related behavior I have is worthless compared to my co-workers UK/Canada education or adventure they had. The problem is they say things that easily back fires at them when I say something in my defense that might be reflected as (I’m better than you in every way) I speak my mind with respect to people that’s what I learned from New York. But I don’t want to get alienated as it is now. If I deal with expat customers, they send recommendations to my company asking for me to be their preferred agent instead of my colleagues which ignited rumors “I’m doing business behind companies back”. The top management is very satisfied with my work but I wan to have friends not enemies in my work place, and the problem it is the case with every company in Libya whether its local or international one.

Stop feeding into the drama. When they come at you, agree with them, roll your eyes, and turn your back.

So, they say:
My education is better than yours…

Reply:
If you say so.

If they say:
You’re working behind the companies back

Reply:
That’s right. Just ask the management.

If they say/imply:
Americans suck

Reply:
Don’t you have anything else to talk about? You’ve been going on like this for months and it’s getting silly.

If you give them nothing to argue about, you take the fun out of it.
If you don’t argue, they have to come up with something else to talk about.

Come up with other conversation topics. When you’re attacked, come back with “Hey, how ’bout them Cubs…” or something else completely random.

Bring baked goods. Maybe it’ll “sweeten them up”.

Ignore them.
Find friends out side work.
Take up a new hobby.

EDIT TO ADD:
See if you can start a game like Scrabble or Risk. No teams, no opponents. You set up the game, and as everyone has time, they take a turn.

This will give everyone something to do, think about, discuss, and a way to have FRIENDLY rivalry.
