Adventure holidays in peru do i need a guide?
we are in a group of 4 and are going to peru for summer about a month
prob take the trek up the inca trail and head to Machu Picchu, is it legal to do it without a guide?
we were also thinking about seeing the Amazon while there, im guessing having a guide would be recommended?
Yes, it’s perfectly legal. However, guides are inexpensive and so informative that I can’t imagine visiting Machu Picchu or any of the other sites without one. They are abundately found near the entrance, so you don’t have to arrange one in advance. However, some are better than others so finding the right one may be tricky. If time allows, I would highly recommend a visit to Sacsayhuaman and a flight over the Nazca Lines as well!
