Show description: An adventure series that focuses on the Superman character as a teenager. A meteor shower bursts from space, raining destruction on the unsuspecting citizens of Smallville, Kansas but delivering to the Kent’s the baby to be known as the Man of Steel. Present day, fourteen years later, the healing process has left the town’s inhabitants with scars and secrets. A popular yet awkward teen attempts to decipher the meaning of his life and his clouded past. A young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) learns that with great power comes great responsibility. Spanning his formative years in the town of Smallville, to his move to Metropolis and work at the Daily Planet, Smallville tells the Man of Steel’s whole story, along with other DC Comic heroes, and, of course, Lois Lane (Erica Durance).
Season ten of Smallville, an American television series, premiered on September 24, 2010 and will consist of 22 episodes. It will be the fifth and final season to air on the CW television network. The series recounts the early adventures of Kryptonian Clark Kent as he adjusts to life in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, during the years before he becomes Superman. Regular cast members during season ten currently include Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Allison Mack.
The final season of the series, season ten plans to continue the romance first developed between Clark Kent and Lois Lane in season nine, as well as the continuation of Clark’s trials, and the forging of his superhero identity “Superman”. During its tenth season, Smallville will beat the Guinness World Record for longest consecutive running United States science fiction television show—currently held by Stargate SG-1.
