Adult wilderness/adventure therapy?
My mother was recently admitted to a mental health center for 3 days after contemplating/threatening suicide. I have been looking for an adult (64 years old) wilderness/adventure/outdoor based therapy program for her. I think this would be good for her as she loves being outdoors and needs a “time out” to deal with her problems.
She participated in an “outward bound” type course for abused women a few years ago and it benefitted her greatly. Does anyone know of any programs that she can benefit from? I have googled and not found much. I’m sure it’s out there but am having a difficult time finding anything.
Any help would be appreciated, I just want my mom to get better and think this would be a good option to bring up to her. Thank you!
