I’m looking for movies that take place MOST of the movie in the city of Chicago or the Suburbs around it… NOT movies filmed in Chicago…

That’s the only movie I could think of when I first read your question, and then I did some research.
I found a link for movies filmed in Chicago. I know you said you’re not looking for movies filmed in Chicago, you’re only looking for movies that take place in the Chicagoland Area. I looked up a couple of the movies on the list (I was bored)…Groundhog day starts out in Waukegan, and Risky Business takes place in the Chicago suburbs.
Look through it, I think you’ll find some good ones to add to your list!
