What is the 50/60′s movie about a Greek (?) hero docking at a city ruled by a queen with a lighthouse laser?
I saw this movie in 1990 and it was already at least 35 years old. It was a Technicolor-like production from the 1950′s or 60′s.
A Greek hero, maybe Jason or Odyseus, docks with his ship and crew at an Alexandrian-like city in Africa(?) There he is tempted by a beautiful dictator queen who controls the city and sea around her with a powerful laser like lens atop a lighthouse that dominates the harbor and sea lanes.
The hero makes good his escape amid much adventure and action.
