chiang rai or only chiang mai?
going to north of thailand for 4-5 days.
i’m staying in chiang mai for temples, trekking, elephants, etc.
i’d like to see the golden triangle as well. is it better i go and sleep in chiang rai or i can arrange a 1 day trip from chiang mai?
is it better to sleep 4-5 nights in chiang mai or staying 1-2 nights in chiang mai?
Please come stay in Chiang Rai. There are not as many bars, massage parlors as in Chiang Mai, Also No english movies, but there are many hill tribes in the area, as well as the White temple, elepkants, monkeys, Nice people too. much cheaper than Chiang Rai and close to the Golden Triangle and chiang khong to catch a boat, Or catch a boat up river from Chiang Rai to the Boarder then a 2hr bus back to Chiang Mai. Good food, and one of the best Hamburgers in Thailand at a place calles Saichon’s Thai Tex on Sahamiter road near the sports park. A mush have after 2 weeks in Thailand. 0811675282.
