A change in gaming pace?
So, I’ve got a little bit of a budget for a nice switch in gaming. I’ve played out most stuff on PS2, and my DS is fun, but I’m a bit tired of what’s on it. I want a bit more modern gaming.
I’m a big RPG/tactics fan, but I like some adventure/action stuff as well. The Castlevania series is enjoyable, I’m fanatic for the “Tales” series, and anything Tri-Ace, and I’ve been an NIS fanatic since Puppet Princess in Marl’s Kingdom.
So, this all being said, I’m looking at either a PSP and a handful of games, or an Xbox 360 and a couple of games. I’m not much of an FPS player anymore (If only because of the horrible trash talk), and I don’t care for RTS or sports games, but I’m fairly open otherwise. I do like the idea of online play, I’m open to any suggestions on which to get, and any particular games.
So far, if I get a 360, I know I’d get Eternal Sonata, and with a PSP, I’d get the FFT remake, FF1/2, and a load of NIS games.
Anything else to suggest?
If you go with the 360 definitly try Mass Effect. an awsome RPG, probably the best I’ve ever played. it has some shooter elements as well. Bioshock is also a good horror RPG. Orangebox is Half Life 2 and includes the awsome puzzle game Portal that will blow your mind. Viva Pinata is actually a great way to kill time. Oblivion is awsome too. the PSP has alot to offer as well, with the FF titles and it’s portability (and hackability) but when you take away the portability and a few major titles it’s library isn’t as open. and the lack of a second control stick can make some ports awkward. Racing games are fun though.
