Which metro area should we pick? Denver, Dallas, Boston, Minneapolis, or Houston?
We’re a young couple looking to move to a place that meets the following criteria:
Politics: Conservative, Republican
People: Down-to-earth, family-oriented, outdoorsy, friendly, church-going, open to homeschooling, wholesome
Weather: Sunny, mild,
Activities: Lots of parks/green spaces, hiking, walking, skiing, museums, theatre, arts, professional football and baseball.
Vibe: Suburban, vanilla, “average American,”
Neighborhoods: Good suburbs, safe, clean
We’re a young couple looking to start a family in a safe, cultured, active, and definitely conservative place. We are active in our church and want a religion-friendly community. We’re also very suburban so a great place for families is important, too. Which metro area listed above–Denver, Dallas, Boston, Minneapolis, or Houston–would fit us best?
Also, we really want to avoid a materialistic city.
Denver…
Minneapolis & Boston- Not mild and very liberal.
Dallas & Houston- Not much in terms of outdoorsy
