what to do in washington DC, on a metro line? halloween, fall foliage, thanksgiving, touristy, etc?
I’m in DC for this semester (fall06) and I was wondering what else I should do before heading back home (to texas) in December.
I’ve already done/been to: monuments/memorials, natural history museum, freer/sackler museums, hirshhorn museum, national gallery of art, national zoo, chinatown, adams morgan, dupont circle.
So I’m wondering what is there to do for Halloween, to see the fall foliage (like a hike/walk somewhere?), for thanksgiving weekend.
What about these things?
Air/Space Museum
Capitol/Library of congress guided tours
alexandria

the other smithsonian museums?
Georgetown for halloween or to the Cinima & Draft House in Bethesda. Call the radio station DC101. They can give you a whole list of things.
To see the fall foliage go to Skylinedrive. Or 7 Falls virginia side for a good hike.
