I need suggestions for “outdoorsy” things to do in the LA area?
I’m traveling to Los Angeles soon and I’m looking for suggestions for places to go and things to do. Mostly, I’m looking for outdoor/nature activities and I already have plans to visit the beaches.
I’m looking for hiking suggestions, perhaps places with spectacular views of the ocean or the mountains, even hikes into the mountains. We’ll be staying in a couple of different places south and east of LA. We’ll basically be limited to sights within a two hour drive of LA, or so. If it’s worth it, we’ll make a longer trip! Sometimes it will be just the guys, and other times there will be a big group including children.
We’ll probably get to the Santa Monica pier, Newport & Huntington Beaches, and even Venice.
Anybody have any suggestion for hikes? Beautiful vistas?
