Good place to camp in colorado?
I live in denver and want to take my girlfriend on a little camping trip next week. The thing is, I just haven’t been camping in years and don’t know where to go. I don’t want to drive really far but want to get away for a quiet trip. I’d like to go somewhere near a lake or nice river preferably. We like the sound of rivers! maybe hiking nearby too.somewhere not to crowded but not in the middle of nowhere either, because shes kind of a city girl and needs bathrooms and water . thanks in advance!
Rocky Mountain National Park! Only 90 minute drive, but the most outstanding scenery you can find! They have camping in the park, or just outside in Estes Park (better facilities). EP has all the comforts of modern civilisation, but the park has hiking, driving and the wilderness you seek. Try these websites for more info:
