What should I do with my life?
I have an art degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2002). The concentration is in costume design and construction. I have worked as a visual manager and retail manager (Banana Republic) and Store Manager (Charlotte Russe) for 4 years. In both of these cases I won several awards for management, merchandising, and sales goals. I love fashion, business, people motivation, and merchandising. I did not like the 50-60 hr work weeks (with no extra money I was salary, I don’t mind working hard), constantly dealing with shoplifters, ridiculous hours (no one, even at Christmas time, shops at 8 on a Sun. morning in the South) and constant turnover (holiday help etc…) that you had to retrain. I have many interests such as computers, books, art, hiking, volunteer work, debate, socializing. Because of my varying interests I can’t figure out what I want to do with my life. Feel free to contact me for more info. So what do you suggest that would be a good match?
Design a new line of outdoor gear for camping ang hiking and such, start your own line. I’m so tired of Cabellas and L.L. Bean, it’s all the same boring stuff, I’m an outdoors girl, we need something sexy yet functional to wear on our outdoor events.
