How do I dress like an archaeologist?
Okay, probably not the most popular question for fashion, but I’ve always been fascinated by the sort of archaeologist/adventurer life, and since I’m entering into a paleontology program for college, I’m kind of stoked to finally have an excuse to indulge in the “ready for all things” style. That said, what are some good quality brands and styles that people can recommend? I’m thinking sort of a cross between typical Discovery Channel practicality, and a dash of Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider. Khaki pants, white shirt, sunglasses, boots, of course, but what else, and what brands would you recommend that could go between- say- hiking through the day, to “throw a scarf around it” dress casual at night (I don’t get stinky easily, luckily). I’m eyeing the Brooks Brothers no-iron shirts, but not sure what companies make nice cut petite khakis. Thanks in advance. Imagination appreciated.
These days you will find most field scientists in jeans, tee shirts, and work or hiking boots. Add some sort of twill or chambray long sleeved work shirt, a jean jacket, and you’re ready to go.
If you have your heart set on the classic look, maybe check out Dickie’s clothing.
