What outdoorsy location out west is nice but has time shares open?
Traditionally I have spent vacations backpacking in places like Pikes Peak, CO, near Taos, NM, or Shenandoah, VA. However, now I have a two year old and a six month old, and am constrained to day hikes. I’m looking for somewhere out west with mild weather in October (No snow yet.) vegetation for shade(my six month old has fair skin) and is near a time share. I’ve looked into Big Sur and Lake Tahoe, but I think Tahoe will be too cold for hiking with two immobile kids strapped to me, and Big Sur doesn’t have time shares. What other outdoorsy places are there out west near time shares that would give me great views and memorable hikes?
