Do you know of any racecar tracks in the SF bay area where you can rent and drive a racecar?
My boyfriend has always wanted to drive a race car on a track. I was looking for some kind of package deal where you can rent a car and drive on the race track or ride in the passenger seat of a stock car while a professional driver drives around the track.
NASCAR sells the perfect package (http://www.excitations.com/sports_and_adventure/?u=JmU9ODEmNzc3) but they don’t offer it near the San Francisco area and I want it to be close by.
Any suggestions for places that will do this is appreciated!
The Jim Russell school runs at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma. There are other schools that use Infineon–you can google “Driving School” Infineon to find others.
To get there from SF, take 101 north to SR 37 (Sears Point Rd.) just before you get to Novato, and go east. Take SR 37 to the junction with SR 121 (Arnold Dr.), and turn left. The speedway is right after the turn, on the left.
