Is Pentax K-x a good camera?
Hi, I am looking to buy a compact entry-level digital SLR camera and while doing my research I came across new Pentax K-x. Initially was planning to buy a Canon, Nikon or Olympus but this particular model impressed me a lot. Thus I wonder if anyone have any positive/negative views on it that I should consider or any other cameras to recommend as I am slowly getting lost among all of the choices.
Mind you I am not a professional photographer, but rather interested to giving it a try. Thats why looking for something simple to start with and if I will be successful then am to upgrade later on. Also as I am planning a trekking trip to Tibet & want something light to carry with me. Mostly I take travel photos, portraits and macro shots. In terms of additional criteria: 10 or more MP, IS, smaller body, entry-level DSLR and good picture and colour quality (everything else secondary).
Thus would appreciate and suggestions or views on my search! Thank you!
I have never tried this particular camera, but it looks more than enough for a beginner. Here’s an interesting review:

The K-x looks like a nice balance between price and features.
