Trekking Queensland

Where can I go camping in Australia?

I’m planing on going trekking with my friends for schoolies. Just want to know what are some good national parks or other places in preferably Queensland or New South Wales to do this. Also any tips on trekking (i.e carrying everything you need and camping at a new spot each night) would be great.

Attached are some websites to check out…

Not sure trekking will be the best thing, but there are some good bus services Sunshine and Gold Coasts (north and south of Brisbane) and northern NSW, I was thinking you could do Byron Bay, Murwullimbah, Gold Coast for example fairly cheaply on the buses and you can access supermarkets or food sources so you don’t have to carry everything. Or maybe do a camp crawl up / down the Sunshine / Gold Coast – there are plenty of camping grounds so you could do Caloundra, Maroochydore and Noosa for example…
