Where can I find trekking routes for Sikkim?
My two girlfriends and I are looking for a safe trekking route, preferably in the area in or around Darjeeling, Dehli, or Sikkim. Hostels are preferred and if possible, a route near or in the foothills of the Himilayas.

Standard Trekking Plan
Day 1 : SILIGURI – GANGTOK( Alt. 1670 m)
Arrival at Bagdogra airport from Delhi or Calcutta- Or NJP by Train – Or Kakarvita those coming from Nepal. Same day 4 hrs Drive from Siliguri to Gangtok 110 kms (or by helicopter). Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 2 : GANGTOK ( SIGHTSEEING )
Early morning visit Tashi View Point , Ganesh Tok, and Hanuman Tok. After Breakfast Drive to Rumtek Monastery built in 1740 on the way back visit Chorten monastery(1958). Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 3 : GANGTOK- YUKSUM ( Alt. 1760 m)
Drive form Gangtok to Yuksum Time taken 6 hrs on the way visit Bonn monastery near Ravongla. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 4 : YUKSUM – TSHOKA ( Alt. 3050 m)
Trek from Yuksum to Tshoka 18 kms time taken approx. 6 hrs. Walk through dense forest of pine and oak After crossing river PrekChu it is straight 70 degree uphill climb this is the toughest stage in the entire Trek then we reach Bakhim the trail from Bakhim passes through magnolia and rhododendron trees. Tshoka is a small village . Overnight stay in a tent or lodge.
Day 5 : TSHOKA- DZONGRI ( Alt. 4020 m)
Trek from tshoka to Dzongri is still a steep climbing time taken approx 5hrs we go through dense forest of rhododendrons there are over 400 flowering species , a place called Deorali Dara provides a magnificent view of mountains. Then we reach Phethang for a break. After Phethang still further climbing we reach Dzongri here the Vegetation is thin and we tend to
find only small bushes and shrubs for the night stay here is a tourist hut Its usually overcrowded and noisy. In Dzongri early morning we take a walk to Dabla Khang( Dzongri Top) the view from this place is magnificent one can view all the peaks.
Acclimatization here is must for further ascending trekkers. Overnight stay in a tent.
