thailand help and advice!!?
hi, me and my boyfriend are looking to spend 3 weeks in thailand next june. our plan is to spend 3/4 nights in bangkok, a week in chiang mai, a week in koh samui and 3/4 days in koh pangan.
the questions i would like to ask are:
1. good hotels in all the locations, and where to stay in pangan to be near the moonparty?
2. i would like to do an overnight trek in chiang mai, any suggestions on good tour companies?
3. any other activities you would highly reccomend in all locations?
i think this is all, ha! we have researched a wee bit, but its always good to hear from people who have already been and experience it.
all your help will be greatly appreciated!
thanks

Hi Fiona thats a wee scots lassie name for sure
As mentioned about bangkok drop me an email at markontour2004@yahoo.com I can point you in the right directions and where to go etc But these guys here live there so more knowledgeable than me and they are the best at any yahoo answer questions too however stupid your question
I ask all sorts of things …… anyway
Koh Samui not been but people love to go there
3 weeks sounds a long time but you will be travelling a lot I have thai gf so I go for a month at a time and that passes pretty fast
Chiang Mai we went on the bus 18 hours from pataya great scenery when you get near there and came back on the overnight train very bumpy but cool and an experience
Chiang mai had the best food I have had in thailand maybe because it was cooler so made you more hungry Chiang Mai zoo you want to go visit there as it has pandas and the city is small and quiet not much going on in the night
If you are dead set on Chiang mai If you can afford it fly there and back after your few days in Bkk you need at least 2 days after travelling to start again
I would then on returning from Chiang Mai stay at a hotel near the airport then ask these guys in here te best way to go to Koh Samui you can fly there so it would make sensse to stay at an airport hotel ![]()
Personally I would skip Chiang Mai and take 4 days in BKK do the sigth seeing tours then go to koh samui and back to Bangkok or after Koh Samui go to pataya then either return to Bkk for a couple of days or just go direct to the airport fro pataya that will give you a long beach style holiday and you could also visit koh chang and koh samet near pataya and island hop
Or forget samui and just go to chiang mai stay over night at an airport hotel then when you get back from chiang mai again go to pataya for a beach trip and home Then if you change your mind and feel up for more travel go to samui and skip pataya
check out youtube for peoples videos also gives you an idea Basically theres too much to do in Thailand wherever you go you will love and you will go back Try to cut your travelling days as you can lose wasted days getting around going back and forth hope that helps or has confused you more
